
We have an international, multilingual team of staff at Castle Craig and admit patients from Europe and worldwide who are looking for 12 Step, residential addiction treatment.
With a German Consultant Psychiatrist, Therapists from the USA, Malta, South Africa, Portugal, Poland and a host of other countries, we consider ourselves to be a truly international rehab centre.
Most patients from abroad come to us as private patients and we are happy to talk to you to discuss payment options and to see if costs can be covered with your private medical insurance or other funding.
As you will be travelling a long distance our Consultant Psychiatrist will conduct a lengthy, in-depth assessment over the phone and, if possible, will also speak to your family for background information. We require a letter from your family doctor and any relevant previous medical records. We need to know as much as we can about you and your alcohol/drug problem before you make the journey over here so we can tailor a treatment plan specific to your needs.
For many years Castle Craig has had the Moody International ISO 9001 quality assurance system in place. This is an internationally-recognised accreditation for quality management and the world's most established quality framework.
We are a preferred provider to the US Forces overseas under the Tricare Military Health Plan and we are on the database of providers for International SOS.
In 2000 Castle Craig opened a clinic in The Hague, Netherlands, to assist patients from the Netherlands. Since 2008, Castle Craig Nederlands has been recognised as an independent outpatient mental health care facility. We have a network of clinics around the country and our own team including a Medical Director, consultant psychiatrists and therapists. After discharge we offer aftercare treatment in the Netherlands.
Treatment at Castle Craig is fully or partly reimbursed through Dutch private medical insurance.
The Castle Craig Nederlands Admissions Team deals with admissions/’aanmelding’, liaises with your insurer and can give you further information about our treatment programme or about addictions in general.
Our Consultant Psychiatrist in the Netherlands conducts a pre-admission assessment and this is sent to Castle Craig for approval by our Consultant Psychiatrist. We require a letter of referral from your family doctor.
We will send you an admission information pack with details of what to expect when you arrive. On arrival you will be collected from Edinburgh Airport by one of our drivers.
