An alcohol & drug rehab clinic

We admit patients from all over the UK to our alcohol & drug rehab programme.  We are located in Southern Scotland, close to the Border with England, and so especially convenient for patients from the North of England, Newcastle upon Tyne, York, Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool.

We are just a 45 minutes drive from Edinburgh International Airport & Edinburgh Waverly train station, and so easily accessible for patients from London and the South of England.  We are happy to arrange transport for patients from any of these areas.

There are 3 ways to be admitted to our alcohol & drug rehab clinic:

• Admission through the NHS
• Admission through Private Health Insurance
• Privately-funded admission

NHS admissions from England:

• Castle Craig is a prime contractor to the NHS and if you are from England you can apply for your treatment to be funded through the NHS.
• Usually social workers and occasionally Primary Care Trusts fund treatment for our English NHS patients. We advise you to speak to your GP or contact your local addiction services for information on the routes into residential rehab and funding. 
• Our admissions team are more than happy to answer any questions you might have about our programme, the admissions process or funding.

Alcohol & Drug Rehab with Private Medical Insurance

Treatment at Castle Craig is covered by major private healthcare providers such as BUPA and AXA PPP.

Check that your insurance policy covers residential rehab and request a referral to Castle Craig from your GP.

Private Admissions

We accept requests for treatment from people who wish to pay privately.  A private admission can be arranged within 24 hours.  Call our admissions department and they will be happy to advise you on the different payment options.
