Most people coming into treatment don’t know what is wrong with them. We want to educate our patients and inform them that they are suffering from a disease, not a moral disorder.
The lecture programme helps patients to gain awareness of the behaviour and attitude patterns resulting from addiction and provides relief and direction throughout the treatment process.
Patients receive approximately 10 lectures a week delivered by a member of the clinical team, or as a carefully chosen educational DVD. The daily lectures by the clinical team cover a broad range of topics including:
Our doctors and nurses educate patients on the risks posed by blood borne viruses and information is provided on nutrition and general health.
