Clare Kane

Clare’s route into therapy began at the University of Glasgow, where she studied a joint degree in History and Sociology. There, she also trained as a Peer Support Mentor. The skills she developed stayed with her after graduation, informing the way she worked with and supported people around her.

In the years that followed, she gained further professional certificates supporting colleagues in the workplace, and it was through this experience that she recognised therapy as her vocation. She went on to earn her Professional Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy from PERSONA Training and Development. Driven by an awareness of the needs of her community, she pursued a placement with TCA, a third sector organisation dedicated to supporting people affected by substance use and their families.

Clare’s practice is grounded in commitment to the individual, to the therapeutic relationship, and to meeting what is human and natural, in all its forms, with honesty and care.

Outside of work, she prioritises time with family and the things that bring her joy, and she looks for moments of mindfulness in everyday life.
