Debbie McNellis

Debbie is a BACP-qualified counsellor with experience in addiction support. Before joining our team, she worked closely with individuals experiencing substance misuse, providing thoughtful, consistent care while managing clinical documentation and reports.

At Castle Craig, Debbie works as part of a wider multidisciplinary team, bringing a steady, organised approach to patient therapy. She values ongoing learning as a way of ensuring the people she supports feel understood, well-guided, and confident in the care they receive.

Before moving fully into therapeutic practice, Debbie worked within a training department supporting new recruits. During this time, she also underwent trauma-informed training. She created spaces for meaningful conversations that encouraged growth and confidence, offering tailored one-to-one guidance alongside group support. Her focus on inclusion and individual strengths helped foster a culture where people felt listened to and capable of progressing.

The therapy and support Debbie provides is invaluable to the patients at Castle Craig.
