John Edge


John completed his formal education at the University of Aberdeen, graduating with an MA (Hons) in Psychology. He later achieved an MSc in Psychological Therapies in Primary Care from the University of Dundee. His primary therapeutic training is in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and he is a registered member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). He also holds a COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills.

John has worked across a range of therapeutic settings, including weight management services, prison healthcare, and community mental health within the NHS. Through this work, he has gained experience supporting individuals with a wide variety of psychological difficulties.

Outside of his professional work, John has studied and practised meditation and mindfulness for many years, drawing from a range of traditions and completing multiple retreats. He is passionate about thoughtfully integrating these practices into his therapeutic approach. He has a strong interest in understanding the human mind and wellbeing more broadly.
