Castle Craig is an addiction rehab hospital set in peaceful countryside, just 45 minutes from Edinburgh and 50 minutes from Glasgow. We are conveniently located near both Biggar and West Linton, and are just under 20 minutes from Peebles. Our dedicated team shares a common mission: to offer compassionate support to those overcoming addiction.
We’re looking for a Catering Assistant who can help fuel this important journey, serving nutritious and delicious meals that nourish both patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
As a Catering Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in preparing and serving up to 200 nutritious meals daily, ensuring both our patients and staff are well-nourished and supported. You will:
• Assist chefs in meal preparation and presentation.
• Contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen.
• Serve meals with care, warmth, and professionalism.
• Uphold high standards of hygiene and food safety.
• Occasionally drive our kitchen van and manage deliveries.
What We’re Looking For
• Previous experience in hospitality or food preparation (1 year preferred).
• Familiarity with HACCP standards and food safety practices.
• A collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
• Willingness to work weekends.
• A valid driver’s license is a bonus!
Schedule
- Part-time: 16 hours per week
- Flexible rota across 7 days
- Shifts: 07:00–15:00 or 10:30–18:30
