Jacqueline Moody

Jacqueline is a Therapist at Castle Craig with a background in CBT-informed therapy and group work. Before training as a therapist, she studied Marine Biology, having grown up by the sea in Ireland, where an early interest in the natural world first developed. After university, she felt drawn to working more closely with people and began training in counselling.

Jacqueline completed a COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills before going on to qualify with a Diploma in Counselling and Groupwork with a CBT approach. She has experience working with patients going through a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and addiction, offering thoughtful and consistent support as part of the wider therapeutic team.

Earlier in her career, Jacqueline worked as a walk-and-talk therapist, combining therapeutic conversations with time outdoors. Alongside her clinical work, she also contributes to the training of future therapists. Since 2022, she has delivered COSCA counselling skills training and taught CBT therapists at diploma level.

Jacqueline values the opportunity to support people as they begin to rebuild their lives. She believes one of the most rewarding aspects of therapy is witnessing the determination people show as they work towards becoming the version of themselves they want to be.
