Castle Craig Hospital, one of the UK’s leading residential addiction treatment centres, is looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Part-Time Fitness Instructor to join our dedicated therapeutic team.

About the role
Reporting to the Fitness Manager, the Fitness Instructor will:
- Deliver personalised and group fitness programmes tailored to a range of abilities and health conditions
- Conduct full gym inductions and fitness assessments for patients
- Deliver a variety of engaging activities, including mindfulness, walking groups, yoga, etc.
- Motivate clients and support them in reaching achievable fitness goals
- Keep accurate records of client progress and collaborate with therapists and medical staff
- Ensure safe and inclusive fitness practice for all patients attending the gym
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who would bring a combination of physical training knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills. You should be reliable, approachable, and confident in planning and delivering safe, inclusive fitness programmes.
Essential skills & qualities:
- Strong communication, mentoring, and motivational skills
- Experience in exercise planning, delivery and health education
- An understanding of working with vulnerable groups in a healthcare setting
- Patience, resilience, and professionalism
- Reliable timekeeping and organisational skills
- Confidence in instructing group and individual sessions
Qualifications & requirements
- HND in Fitness and Health (or equivalent)
- REPs accredited Level 3 Personal Training qualification
- Additional qualifications in nutrition and first aid
- Experience in yoga, pilates, or mindfulness facilitation is desirable
- A Hill Leader Training or Outdoor Education qualification is desirable but not essential
